"We did the private dolphin tours and chose the 8am tour in order to beat the heat. The tour was great! Captain Alex was great as well as Layla, his sidekick. We saw dolphins and jumped in to their company. We also saw turtles. Rays. And crabs. He also took us to a private sandy beach to look for shells. It was very easy to customize the experience for our children, who were aged 10, 12 and 14. It was a great time for all !!!"

Discovery Cove offers many optional extras, such as swimming with sharks or feeding stingrays. The Dolphin Swim was something we did. It was well worth it!
Large sharks are prey on dolphins. They target young calves and sick adults, as they are the most vulnerable and weakest.
This myth is frequently associated with a shark safety tip: "If dolphins are present, it is safe to swim there as their presence scares off sharks." This is incorrect. This is simply not true. Sharks and dolphins often live near one another because they eat the same foods and both eat where the food is.
